Road Trip - Chesapeake City, Maryland

The bridge over the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal at Chesapeake City, Maryland, is simply lyrical.

Chesapeake City is a tiny little town northeastern Maryland with incredible charm. The town is very small in many ways. It has a population of only 787 people. But what really makes Chesapeake City seem so small is the gigantic bridge which seems to dwarf the entire town. It towers above the little houses & stores of Bohemia Street like a giant metal insect gracefully walking along the water just to get its feet wet.

Here are some borrowed photos of the town & the bridge. I now believe that the town is lovely, the bridge is lyrical, & my friend is inspiring.
