1834 American mother with her best bonnet & her very sweet little boy

Beginning to shop for clothing for the grandchildren for the holidays.  Here is a painting of a mother and her son whose dress is a little unfamiliar to the present-day Gap & Hollister notions of clothing little boys. And the mother, herself, is wearing a rather complicated bonnet.

Unknown Artist - Agnes Frazee and Child 1834 (Probably Agnes Clark, Mrs Phineas Freeman Frazee Sr (1810-1891) of Brooklyn NY and then of Richland County, NJ, where her husband was a carriage maker. They had children in 1830, 1833, & 1834)
