These Particular portraits of women by Frenchman Edouard Dantan's (1848-1897) Seem to me quite sculptural. His grandfather was Joseph-Antoine-Laurent Dantan, a wood carver; His uncle, Jean-Pierre Dantan, was a clay & amp; bronze sculptor: & amp; His father, Antoine-Laurent Dantan, was a sculptor of marble. Edouard chose to paint, but His favorite subject was painting artists at work in vaulting sculpture studios, anche Although he explored still lifes, landscapes, & amp; portraits. His career was cut short, When one of the horses attached to His carriage bolted, throwing Dantan to His death; before he Reached the age of 50.
